The Center's Master and Mentors program, an organization of Gulf Coast teachers and other professionals, makes decisions and provides expertise for local work. The Center also - provides funding for middle and high school teachers to attend national workshops on Holocaust and genocide education - offers local workshops designed to assist teachers in their personal development and in the development of classroom strategies for Holocaust and genocide education - channels Holocaust education resources to teachers in the Gulf Coast region. Among these resources are: ------- Holocaust and genocide speakers ------- The Paul and Mary Filben Holocaust Teaching Trunk ------- various lesson plans and teaching curricula ------- curricular resources from The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous as well as other international Holocaust organizations ------- The Agnes Tennenbaum Holocaust Library Collection Educational MaterialsThe Paul and Mary Filben Holocaust Teaching Trunk The Filben Holocaust Trunk is available for use in middle and high schools.
