Holocaust Education on the Gulf Coast

 

The Center's Master and Mentors program, an organization of Gulf Coast teachers and other professionals, makes decisions and provides expertise for local work.

The Center also
- provides funding for middle and high school teachers to attend national workshops on Holocaust and genocide education
- offers local workshops designed to assist teachers in their personal development and in the development of classroom strategies for Holocaust and genocide education
- channels Holocaust education resources to teachers in the Gulf Coast region. Among these resources are:
------- Holocaust and genocide speakers
------- The Paul and Mary Filben Holocaust Teaching Trunk
------- various lesson plans and teaching curricula
------- curricular resources from The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous as well as other international Holocaust organizations
------- The Agnes Tennenbaum Holocaust Library Collection
